Din Djarin, also known as “the Mandalorian” or simply “Mando,” was a human male Mandalorian warrior during the era of the New Republic. With his Mandalorian armor, IB-94 blaster pistol, Amban sniper rifle, and distinctive beskar helmet, Djarin was both well-equipped and enigmatic—a stranger whose past was shrouded in mystery to others. He hailed from Aq Vetina and became orphaned during the end of the Galactic Republic, and was raised as a foundling by the Children of the Watch, an orthodox cult that had broken off from mainstream Mandalorian society.

I have to say that at first I had doubts whether I could do justice to this miniature. I knew that I definitely didn’t want to paint the mini in metallic colours, but in N(on) M(etallic) M(etal). I wanted to paint the reflections and make the armour look shiny. However, I did not know how to do this.
Then Sorastro posted his PDF and Youtube tutorial for Din Djarin. In his video I saw directly where and how I had to paint certain parts. So I came quickly to a result that I had been quite happy with, even if there had still been room for improvements on my side.
When I was done, it came to my mind that a shooting effect from Deadly Print Studio would complement the miniature nicely. However, I was aware that the muzzle flash from the blaster shot would be reflected in the armour. So I added red reflections and highlights where the shot would be reflected.
